Ruby Buxton was quite possibly the politest, sweetest, most honest police officer who walked through the doors of Sun Hill Police Station… and then some genius paired her up with PC Gabriel Kent – it was never going to end well. Ruby had grown up in Canley, she knew the people and the area and used this knowledge to her advantage to get results. The public liked her, and so did her colleagues, she was often seen with a smile on her face getting stuck into the job. Unfortunately Gabriel Kent forced Ruby to lie for him and commit perjury when she saw him chuck evidence at a suspect. After the trial the guilt and shame of lying tore Ruby apart, she resigned from the force.
