If you blinked you may have missed Inspector Brian Kite, he lasted at Sun Hill for only three months during the third series of The Bill. He was a stickler for the rule book, having more faith in that than the experienced officers under his control. He seemed to believe that he was a thoroughly modern police officer; political correctness and PACE procedures were more far more important than compassion and common sense. It was really no wonder that the likes of Sgt Bob Cryer and DS Ted Roach didn’t always agree with him. Brian left Sun Hill after three short months I doubt he was missed.
