Arun Ghir was a very enthusiastic officer, occasionally a little too enthusiastic, jumping into action before he had given his brain the opportunity to consider the consequences. Sometimes his eagerness to chase the criminals brought good results on another occasion it left Arun devoid of his uniform after being mugged by a group of teenagers. Arun arrived at Sun Hill on the same day as PC Millie Brown and Leon Taylor. He may not have had Millie’s brains or Leon’s experience but he brought something quite unique to the service, his heart. Arun cared about the public it didn’t matter if he was searching for a missing child or a small religious charm he threw himself into the job. Unfortunately, it was because Arun cared so much that he eventually resigned from the police service. Unable to follow instruction Arun assisted in the get-a-way of a woman and child who had been brought into the UK illegally. He admitted to his part of their escape and left Sun Hill with a clear conscience.
